Javier Perez Fernandez is the Medical Director of Critical Care Services at the Baptist Hospital of Miami. Dr Perez Fernandez was elected to serve as President-Elect in August 2023 and will assume the Presidency at the 17th World Congress in Vancouver in September 2025. Dr Perez Fernandez manages a large group of critical care physicians, Intensive Care Solutions and through this organisation he has brought comprehensive Critical Care Medicine to10 hospitals in South Florida involving more than 15 ICUs and over 550 beds. He is involved in education, being the Director for the Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Program at Larkin University School of Medicine. In addition, he is the Associate Director of the Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine Fellowships. He also serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Florida International University, Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
